How we use text messaging to coordinate play for registered league members

About Our SMS Program

TPS Golf League ("TPS," "we," "us") — operated by Massfeller LLC — sends text messages (SMS/MMS) to registered league members for coordination of weekly play. This is a private, low-volume messaging program for an active roster of approximately 30 women. TPS is not a marketing program and does not sell, advertise, or promote third-party products.

How to Opt In

There are two ways to give express consent to receive SMS messages from TPS:

  1. Web opt-in form. Visit tpsleague.com/sms-optin, enter your mobile number, and check the box affirming that you agree to receive tournament-related text messages. Your consent is recorded with a timestamp and the exact consent language shown on the form.
  2. Text opt-in. Text the word START or JOIN to our league number. You will receive a confirmation reply acknowledging your enrollment.

Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of membership, purchase, or participation. You may participate in the league entirely via the website, email, or push notifications if you prefer not to receive SMS.

Types of Messages You Will Receive

  • Tournament reminders (date, time, course, tee time)
  • Tee-time pairings and group assignments
  • Registration confirmations and withdrawal acknowledgements
  • Weather delays or schedule changes
  • On-course coordination (e.g., "your group is up on the first tee")
  • Payment reminders for prepay courses
  • Replies to inbound messages you send us (e.g., score entry, RSVP)

Sample Messages

TPS: Todd Creek Thursday 5/7. Your tee time is 8:40 AM on Silver tees, Group 3 with Lisa, Cheryl, and Sandy. Reply YES to confirm or OUT to withdraw. Reply STOP to opt out.
TPS: Payment reminder — $55 due at check-in Thursday for Legacy Ridge. Cash or Venmo to @rotroia. Reply PAID once settled. Reply STOP to opt out.
TPS: Weather delay. Todd Creek pushed tee times back 30 minutes due to frost. Your new time is 9:10 AM. Reply HELP for assistance. Reply STOP to opt out.

Message Frequency

During the active season (May through October), members typically receive 4 to 8 messages per week, concentrated around Thursday play dates. Outside of the season (November through April), messages are minimal to none — usually fewer than two per month.

How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message from our league number. You will receive a one-time confirmation that no further messages will be sent. After that, no further SMS messages will be delivered unless you opt back in.

You may re-subscribe at any time by returning to /sms-optin or by texting START to our league number.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. TPS does not charge for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier's standard text-messaging and data rates will apply to each message sent and received. Check with your carrier for specifics.

Supported Carriers

SMS notifications are available on all major US wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, Google Fi, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy & Data Sharing

Phone numbers submitted for SMS are used only for league communications. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing is limited to service providers (e.g., Twilio, our messaging platform) strictly for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive.
